ERICK CRUZ DELIVERS OPENING STATEMENT IN TRIAL OF POLICE OFFICER CHARGED WITH FRAUD AND THEFT

A Miami-Dade County Police Sergeant who is charged with theft and organized fraud stands trial in Miami.  The sergeant stands accused of engaging in a pattern of stealing county gasoline meant for use in his police car.  Erick Cruz delivered his opening statement on behalf of the sergeant proclaiming his innocence.
