Erick Cruz convinced prosecutors to allow his client to enter into the pretrial diversion program and ultimately have her case dismissed. The client got into a verbal argument with her roommates that escalated into a physical altercation. The young woman was arrested and charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery.
At the trial setting, Erick spoke to the prosecutor and the victim and explained to them that his client was very apologetic for what occurred and wanted to resolve her case in a manner that result in her charges getting dismissed. The prosecutor an d victims agreed and allowed the client to enter into the pretrial diversion program. In the program, the client will have to complete an anger management course and stay out of trouble.
